2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

This information is used to create and manage your account and provide the core functionality of TagSafe.

2.2 Camera Permission (Mobile App)

The TagSafe mobile app requires access to your device camera solely for the following purposes:

  • Scanning QR codes associated with TagSafe stickers
  • Capturing photos (such as item photos) if you choose to upload them

Important:

  • Camera access is activated only when you intentionally use the scanning or photo feature.
  • The App does not access the camera in the background.
  • The App does not record video or take photos without your explicit action.

2.3 Photos & Media

If you capture or upload photos (for example, item photos or profile images), these images may be securely stored on our servers to provide App functionality. Photos are never accessed without your action and are not shared publicly unless you explicitly choose to make information visible.

2.4 Usage Data

We may collect limited usage data such as:

  • Device type and operating system version
  • App and web feature usage
  • Performance diagnostics

This information helps us improve TagSafe and maintain its reliability.

2.5 Crash Reports

If the App or website crashes, diagnostic data may be collected to help us identify and fix technical issues.

2.6 Authentication Tokens

We use secure authentication tokens to maintain user sessions. These tokens are used only for login and session management purposes and do not contain sensitive personal data.

2.7 Communication Data

When a finder contacts you through TagSafe (via our anonymous call relay or contact form), we process the communication metadata (such as timestamps and call duration) required to deliver the service. Finder phone numbers and identities are not shared with you, and your personal contact details are never shared with finders.

We use collected information to:

  • Provide and maintain App and web platform functionality
  • Enable QR code scanning and anonymous contact features
  • Authenticate users securely
  • Improve performance and user experience
  • Respond to customer support requests

We do not sell personal data.

  • Camera permission is used exclusively for QR scanning and user-initiated photo capture.
